This Lite version is free for both private and commercial users and can be turned into Unlimited version by purchased license key. The Lite version has the same functionality as the Unlimited version, except it can store maximum 20 items per file. If you don’t have many passwords then the free Lite version is all you need.
Alternatively you can download as zip file without installer and updater (for advanced users, can be run without administrator privileges).
Password Agent is a Windows password manager for those privacy minded persons and companies who are sceptical about storing their passwords in someone else’s computer aka “cloud”. Password Agent by default stores data in your local computer and not in the internet. Password Agent can semi-automatically fill user ID & password of web sites just by pressing a global hotkey in web browser, so you can stop using un-secure password managers built into web browsers. It is browser independent and supports most common web browsers without installing any special browser plug-ins or extensions – you can use any browser any time.

Password Agent was designed with security in mind from ground up. It uses secure plain text handling for common in-memory operations, where data is kept in memory fully encrypted. In addition, in normal viewing and browsing mode there is no moment in time where all fields of an item are decrypted into plain text at the same time. Item fields are decrypted one by one only when needed to be drawn on screen, after drawing plain text is immediately burned. All that minimizes possibility of plain text leaks to memory and scratch disk.
Uses only strong, standardized and U.S. government accepted cryptographic technologies like PBKDF2 with SHA2-256 for key derivation, AES (or optionally Twofish) for encryption.
International characters are supported, stores data in UTF-8 encoding.
Password Agent is a self contained program, no special installation or external framework dependencies are needed. That also means you can just run it directly off removable drive, like USB flash drive, making is very portable. You can also share it easily on file server.
Password Agent does not access the Internet so you do not need to worry that your sensitive data may be sent to 3rd parties without your knowledge.
