How to locate Password Agent data files

Password Agent data files have the extension .pwa and the default file save location is your Documents folder. However, the program allows you to save files to any writable location you choose.

In Password Agent, you can open the selected file location by menu command File | Open file location. That will display the file in File Explorer. The Open file location menu command may be disabled in the old version 2016. In that case, unlock the file with the master password first to enable the command. From version 2024.9.24, you can see the file name and last modification time of the open file also displayed on the program status bar.

If you have no files open in Password Agent, then you can open the menu File | Reopen to see the last used file names, including full paths showing their locations.

If you have no success with any previously listed ways, then you can search your computer for *.pwa files using Windows File Explorer.
