License key is not accepted

A license key needs to be used with the same major version of a product it is issued for. An old license key usually does not work in the latest version and new one in an old version.

If you just bought a license and want to install the latest version

  1. Make sure you have the latest version of the product installed by invoking menu command Help | Check for updates. If update checking does not work you can manually see which version you have by invoking menu command Help | About and comparing version number to the one on the product web page. If there is an update available then install it.

  2. Copy your license key block from the e-mail you received when ordering. Key code block consists of “licensed to” name plus 2 or 3 lines of numbers. Select all lines of the key code block and copy them to the clipboard.

  3. Paste copied license key block to the Enter license key window in the product.

If you have purchased an older version in the past

If you have an old license key and do not want to upgrade to the latest version to receive new license key then follow these steps:

  1. From the initial e-mail you received with your license key code or from your notes you should be able to detect for which version of the product it is issued for.

  2. Make sure you have that version of the product installed. Invoke menu command Help | About to see which version you have. If required, download an older version.

  3. Copy your license key block from the e-mail you received when ordering. Key code block consists of “licensed to” name plus 2 or 3 lines of numbers. Select all lines of the key code block and copy them to the clipboard.

  4. Paste copied license key block to the Enter license key window in the product.
