Backup Magic won't write to a Drobo-FS network drive even though I run Backup Magic as Administrator. However, I can drag and drop files or folders to the network drive with no problems.

My system file and part of the backup log are included below.

Backup log file (beginning only)
E> Create folder failed (The system cannot find the path specified) Source: "C:\Bible\" Dest: "Y:\arlene\Bible\"
E> Copy failed (The system cannot find the path specified) Source: "C:\Bible\BEGGAR.BMP" Dest: "Y:\arlene\Bible\BEGGAR.BMP"

Seems you are trying to copy to Y: drive but your storage drive is not mapped to Y: drive letter. You need to map your NAS to Y: drive or change your backup set so destination uses correct drive letter or UNC name.

UNC name is like:

\\nas_name\share\folder

When usual name is

Y:\share\folder

UNC name is more universal, it works even if your mapped drive letter changes or it even does not require you to map drive.

Sorry for missing the mapping. This time I made sure the drive was mapped to Y: and that I could open the drive and path and I still got the same results.

In you system info it still does not show Y: drive, that means it is not mapped. Can you see Y: drive letter in Windows Explorer?

But in Windows Explorer it showed as mapped to drive Y:. I double checked it and even entered Y: in the Windows Explorer address line to make sure it would open the drive and it did. Is it possible that Backup Magic is not recognizing that?

If that is true then I have no idea, because if it is mapped as usual drive then it should be reckognized also by BM. You can try restarting your computer and see what happens. You can also change your backup set to copy to different drive letter (re-map as different letter) or use UNC path in backup set (best).

Using the path '\\drobo-fs\public' instead of the drive letter solved the problem. Thanks.
